Sharing one of their favorite places with us, my friend Dave and the girlfriend Katie took us behind their home in Poughkeepsie, NY to this wonderful spot. Later this spot was made even more special when David proposed to Katie near here. A beautiful view, even with the power lines or perhaps because of the power lines. normally I dislike power lines because of their aesthetic impact on the surrounding area and subsequent landscape photographs. In this picture though, I feel that it works. The immense structure of the tower frames the couple and projects a strong presence with the lines themselves leading you back to the couple.
