If you get a chance to check out the Tesla coils at the Rochester Museum and Science Center, it is definitely worth it. The explain just a little of the history and science behind the technology, but they do play some fun music with the coils. Make sure you wear the provided hearing protection. This image is a result of a hand held long exposure where they turned the lights on right at the end of the capture. The lights were not planned, but the timing was appreciated.
